When I began this site initially, the first reaction I perceived was that people were generally in agreement
with my thoughts and ideas. Yet I seemed unable to provoke anything more than casual concern as a response.
After some probing, a concept crystalized that indicated to me people for various reasons were averse at
the thought of becoming proactive. Hearing resonpses as, "We're no better off!", or, "You must think
you're something better!", or even, "Why bite the hand that feeds you?", and "Where else would you be
better off?", I recognized the excerted defense mechanism. In variance though, people still felt concern for the future of our social conduct in the global
environment we are just beginning to comprehend, while in the same instance, feeling powerless to change
anything. Moreover, many people believe social inconsistancies are the workings of a higher being:
no one else is responsible, that is, the responsibility does not lie within a particular "social
system", but in the struggle between the good forces that right wrong, and the evil forces the
prevail and dominate the weak and religionless.
The gist of the matter manifested into the reality that for one reason or another, a type of mental
separation exists, a disparity, a divide. A benefaction that provides us the ability to uncouple
ourselves looms over our interactions in such a way that the connection between our lives is removed to
an extent that we our autonomous. A complete disassociation occurrs through many different channels:
through, as I've said, religion, type of sport, hobby, marital concept, social status, market worth,
nationaltiy, faith, serority, clergy, skin color, taste in music, type of sex, level of intelligence...,
the list goes on and on. With these, we provide ourselves methods to excuse ourselves, remove our guilt
and sense of responsibility. The consequence is a minimalistic association to others based on ones
ability or inability to survive: the survival of the fitest.

I have been writing more or less continuously for aproximately nine years, but I do not write
professionally. That is, I don't "earn" a living writing. So, there is no other motivation
behind my activities regarding this site other than clarification and amplification. My objective
then is not to become the focus, but to help bring about focus and direction through communication,
just as so many others are. These articles represent my contribution to what I recognized as an
on-going effort to establish human equality. Since word-in-mouth, pen-in-hand, and keyboard-at-finger
are my only resources, I've created this site to exploit them.
Why? James Baldwin once said that he wrote to "keep his sanity". This notion is an approximation
of the trepidation I feel about the world's predicament. I write to releave myself of the effects of
the mental and spiritual saturation that comes along with being a wittness to the needless pain and waste
it causes. Rather than stand in the middle of a crowded intersection schrieking and wailing in the
shrillest of tones until I'm utterly exhausted, everyday by any weather, I write. In doing that I hope
to assist, support, inform, teach and learn.
I think it's apparent that I don't write fiction. I comment on what is either already "in the news",
or what in my opinion should be. Though, I'm not a reporter or a journalist, I will write narratives on
the things that are reported including the person or organinzation that reported it and the motivation
behind that, if I can.
But, the right to exercise so-called freedom of speech has its price. Realistically, I know that some
entities exist for whom these types of communications are threatening. And, not only are many people
afraid of change, some are willing to fight against it vehemently. Both for me, represents a risk.
For one, there is the risk of promoting inappropriate aggression, the kind that does not radicate
the problems identify, but multiplys and complicate them. Another is the possibility of
mis-interpretation, since often one may know that they belive they've understood what they thought was
communicated, and for another, considerable doubt exists over whether or not it is realized
that what was perceived is not what was meant. Finally, there is the risk of information overflow and
underflow.
No one can predict what amount of information is appropriate for whom, when. At the same time
some ideas, concepts may be new or there may insufficient background information avaliable to support
it. As I've stated above, I am not a journalist, which also indicates that I have no inside information
sources. For some my information may be uncomfirmable.

There are many people in many facets of social life past and present involved in the erradication of
inequality, cousin to injustice and partiality. In their honor and as our humane duty I feel we all
must exercise our humane responsibility to become catylist for positive change! I have made it is my
goal to regularly produce information on relevant topics current, past, and present, as well as to
speak on the defects with the assurity that any sucesses may spare life, and liberty, while
encouraging the persuit of happiness.
